Juicy Tangerine Tango Card

Look at this juicy Tangerine Tango card we created at my team meeting last week.  This was fun to make.  The card features the Beyond the Garden DSP, Pretty Postage Stamp Set, Postage punch, Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango embossing powder.

Ingredients:

Strength and Hope Stamp Set
Tangerine Tango cardstock:  8.5" x 5.5"
Wild Wasabi:  3.5" x 3.25"
Daffodil Delight:  3" x 3"
Scrap Whisper White and Basic Black card stock
Wild Wasabi and Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder
Stampin Write Markers, Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi
Versa Mark
Scallop Edge Punch
Postage Stamp Punch
Big Shot
Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Powder Trays
Embossing Buddy
Heat Tool
Paper Snips
Dimensionals

Run front half of card thru Big Shot with Square Lattice folder.  Punch the 3.25" side of the Wild Wasabi card stock with the Scallop Edge Punch.  Punch Beyond the Garden DSP 2 times with the Postage Stamp punch. Rub the Embossing Buddy scrap white and black paper.  Stamp with the Versa Mark the Birthday stamp from the Pretty Postage Stamp Set on scrap white and the Butterfly from Strength and Hope on scrap black.   Sprinkle the Tangerine Tango embossing powder on the birthday stamped image, heat to emboss.  Sprinkle the Wild Wasabi embossing powder on the butterfly stamped image and heat to emboss.  Punch out the birthday embossed stamp with the Pretty Postage punch. Cut out the Butterfly embossed stamp with your paper snips.

Adhere the pieces as shown on the picture.  Attach the Butterfly and the birthday stamp with dimensionals.  Or you can make it a thanks cards as shown on the first sample.  I just colored that stamp with Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango & Daffodil Delight stampin markers and punch out with Postage Stamp punch.

Isn't this card juicy?

Have Fun and Happy Stampin!

White Sands National Monument New Mexico

Hi friends,

Just returned from a trip to El Paso, Texas.  We went to visit my son and his new wife Laura.  They are in the Army and both are headed for Iraq next week.  We had an awesome 2 days together!!  It was very hard to leave!  I was so sad!  It was great to meet his wife!  She was great!  I can't wait to see them again and get to know her more!!  I'm so glad they will have each other when they go to Iraq.

We got to go to White Sands National Monument.  This place was beautiful!!  We rode for about an hour and half or so to get there.  It was desert and mountains for miles and miles.  And then when you get to the White Sands, it was beautiful.  So white and an amazing site.  You went into the park and all around you was these white mountains of sands.

Here are some scrapbook pages I created in My Digital Studio of the experience.

For these pages I used the digital download bundle 2 that is 30% off this month, check out my website for all that is on sale this month.  We really had an amazing trip.  Will share more of my pages later.  I made several more.  We actually drove back from El Paso, took us about 3 days to get back.  It was a long ways.  I got to play in the car on my laptop creating my pages.

Happy Stampin'!!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Saturday Stampers!!  Happy Mothers Day to you all!!

I am sitting in a hotel room in El Paso, Texas right now.  My son Adam is here.  He is in the Army.  He is being deployed to Iraq the end of the month.  We decided to fly down here to see him before he left.  We arrived Thursday evening around midnight El Paso time (which is 2am VA time).  He wanted us to take his truck home so he didn't have to store it in a government facility.  So on Sunday and Monday we will be driving his truck back to Lynchburg (28 hour drive).  Yeah I think we are crazy, but it will be an adventure and these 2 days with my son is something I will treasure.

It has been great to see him and meet his girl Laura, she is great and they are so happy together.  They both will be going to Iraq.  My next post, I will post some pictures of our trip.  I plan to also create some scrapbook pages in My Digital Studio, which I will also share.

I thought I would share a couple of Mother's Day cards that I created last month and the card that I sent to my mom and my mother-in-law.  And also the brooch I made them.  I really had a lot of fun creating these!!

Card for my Mother-in-law and Brooch I gave both Moms

Close-up of Fabric Flower
The fabric flower and card is what my club made in April.  We made several different 3-D flowers, I have one opening for my club if you would like to get together with other stampers once a month and learn new techniques and tricks, create fun projects and have some fun fellowship with a great group of women!!!!

Gotta go and get ready for my last day with my family in Texas, we are planning on going to White Sands, New Mexico.  Will share some pics later!

Inky Hugs to all and Happy Mothers Day to all!!
