Oh Scrap It's Monday - Sneek Peak

My Holiday Catalog goodies came in today.  Wait till you see the Holiday Catalog, it is wonderful!!!  And the best part you don't have wait till September to order from it, the Holiday Catalog goes live August 1.  WhooHoo!!  Anyways, I wanted to play with something new and only had about 30 minutes.  I didn't get home from work till 8pm, :(.  These 2 pages were created using a 2 page Simply Scrappin Layout Kit that is in the new Holiday Catalog and I literally made these 2 pages in 30 minutes.  Love it!!

This was a pictures from last February from my Winter Social from work.  I decided to put the 23 for the years we have been married.

All I need to do here is add a photo on the Cherry Cobble rectangle card stock and clip a smaller one or two along the ribbon.
Everything you see on these 2 pages came with the kit, plus I have some leftovers, it doesn't get any easier than that!

Happy Scrappin!!

Merry Christmas....Happy Birthday Jesus!!

I wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas!!!  Hope you are truly blessed this season to be able to spend time with your loved ones.  I feel truly blessed to be able to spend the day with my husband and younger son Daniel.  My older son Adam and his wife are in Texas.  They just got back from Iraq a week ago (Amen!!!)  I am so glad they are back here on American soil!!  We will get to see them in January.

We are having a quiet Christmas morning here at the Evans' household.  My husband and son Daniel are still sleeping, I am listening to The Sounds of Christmas on the TV that local Chorus's are performing wonderful sounds of the season.  My son Daniel high school chorus performed several times, they must have 15+ different schools performing.  I am really enjoying it!  Daniel has a solo in one of them, waiting to hear that!  We are going to have a Baked French Toast this morning, a new recipe.  We buttered sour dough bread and created a egg mixture last night, placed in a baking dish and it soaked overnight.  I am going to add the rest of the ingredients (syrup, butter and more) and bake it.  It sounds so yummy!!

Here are gift card holders I created using the Stocking Die and the Stocking Accents Die.   My nephews are getting these.  I used Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper and after running the Whisper White card stock thru the Big Shot using the Stocking die, I ran it thru again using the Snowburst Embossing Folder, it added a nice texture.

Tomorrow I will share the gifts/treats we created to share with our neighbors.

Again a Very Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!  Hope your day is wonderful and truly blessed!!

Love and Hugs,
Becky

Bells & Boughs Christmas Card

Here is the card that I created for my Shoebox swap for Convention.  I got lots of compliments.  If you look on page 43 in the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalog, there is a card similar to mine.  This was my inspiration.  I did mine a little differently.

Here's how I made the front:
  • Cherry Cobbler card stock 6" x 6".
  • Two (2) Very Vanilla toppers cut out with the Top Note Die with the Big Shot and cut off about an inch of the die as shown.
  • Stamped the Poinsettas from the Bells and Boughs stamp set with Always Artichoke like shown.
  • Stamped the Merry Christmas from the Many Merry Messages in Cherry Cobbler.
  • Tied a 16" piece of the Victorian Lace around the card.
  • Added Champagne Glass Glitter with Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive to the center of the flowers.
  • Attached the topper on with dimensionals.
Inside of the card
How I created the inside:
  • Stamped the Poinsettas with Always Artichoke on the edge as shown.
  • Stamped the sentiment from Many Merry Messages in Cherry Cobbler.
  • Attached with Snail adhesive.

Don't forget to stamp your envelope, it adds so much to it.  These envelopes are Stampin' Up!'s Open Ended envelopes.

Have fun creating and if I can be of service to you, let me know.

My store is open 24 hours a day, visit it to today for more project ideas and to order your supplies.

Happy shopping and As always...Happy Stampin!!
