OMG - Stampin' Up! is Ah-Mazing

This is what the door looked like when we entered the Convention Center
Today is my first day the Stampin' Up! convention.  What an amazing day!!  I met so many wonderful stampers!!!
This is the group of wonderful remarkables that I am hanging out with.  We went to Olive Garden for lunch today.

I got to tour the Stampin' Up! facility.  I got to see the home office, got to see where they process our orders.  They have an amazing system.  My orders are always so accurate, now I see why.

Stampin' Up! Home Office (notice the mountains in the background)

Notice the mountains, there is still snow on top.  this is beautiful country!!!

This is the rock we saw when we entered the road to Stampin' Up1  This is me with my up-line Kathy Seals and Ruth Murphy.
This is where they package our orders. They had workers explaining the process....so very cool!!

Do I look happy or what?  What an amazing day!!

This is Terry, a new friend we met today in line as we were getting our bags and stamps sets.  She had come by herself and she ended up hangin with us all day.  She was great!!

Speaking of bags...here is a pic of our convention bag...isn't it beautiful!

Isn't beautiful!!  i just love it!!  It is going to be very useful!!  lots of inside pockets!!

Ruth says I we need to go to bed.  Gotta get up at 5:30am.  Good night all...can't wait to share with all tomorrow!!

Inky Hugs and Love to all!!

Baja Pennant Parade

This card today I copied from our Stampin Success magazine that us demonstrators receive each month and it is always full of great ideas and I am always copying some to use for my classes and clubs.

This card uses the new Pennant Parade stamp set the new Eat Cake Designer Series Paper.  I also used the Pennant Punch, 3/4" circle punch and the small circle punch from the Itty Bitty Punches.  It was a fun, simple and a different card to put together.

Convention starts tomorrow!!  I am just a little excited, can you tell?

Inky Hugs,

Pennant Parade meets Delicate Doilies

Happy Monday Friends!!

I am on may way today to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Stampin' Up! Convention.  I am so excited.  It starts on Wednesday.  Be sure to check back here every day this week.  I will have samples for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and then plan to post in the evening about my days at convention.

Today's card is one that I created.  Believe it or not, I did not copy this one, unusual for me.  I wanted to put 2 of the new In-colors Pool Party and Island Indigo together.   Here is the card:

I love these 2 colors together.  I stamped the images in the background using the New Stamp Set Delicate Doilies, also used the new set Pennant Parade.  Used the new Pennant Punch and of course stampin dimensionals and some white bakers twine.  The background stamped image was run thru the Big
shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder.    Some the ladies at my K.I.S.S. used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder and that turned out nice too.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for another sample.

Happy Stampin!!

My Digital Studio Swap #2 for Convention

Here is the second swap I created for Convention.  I created this one the same way as I did for swap #1 with the following exceptions:

Whole sheet

Individual Card

This one I actually had printed without the Bonjour on it.  I purchased the French version of this stamp set and hand stamped it.  I thought it would be fun to use the word Bonjour instead of Hello.
Digital Downloads used:

Pocketful of Poisies DSP  #123148              $4.95
My Friend Stamp set
1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (Rich Razzleberry)
Basic Pearls

I used Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry card stock to frame the image nicely.
Don't forget your shadows.

This card is a perfect example of how I reduced the DSP image in the square punch to start my card.  Those flowers started out a lot bigger to begin with.

Happy Digital Crafting!!

My Digital Studio Swap #1 for Convention

I have been busy creating my swaps for Convention.  I created them using My Digital Studio.  This one I used Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is a favorite of mine and the digital stamp set Fabulous Florets.   I created these on an 8.5" x 11" paper.  I created one and then grouped it together and copied and pasted it 3 more times on the paper.  I started with a square punch and stretched it until it was 5.25" x 4" (use the ruler on your page).  I then filled the punch with DSP.  What is so cool about using the paper fill is that you can double click inside the filled punch and you can zoom in or out the DSP paper.  So what that means is that you can actually change the size of the images on the DSP.   How cool is that???!!!  I made the opacity of the filled punch a little lighter to make it more of a background.

What the sheet looks like before I cut it

Finished Card
The colors I used were Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.  I actually added 2 pieces of card behind the card to add dimension and I think it framed the card nicely.  Other digital downloads used were 1/8" Taffetta Ribbon, Rhinestones.  And don't forget to add shadows behind the accessories to make them pop off the page.
Digital Downloads used:
Beyond the Garden DSP #124109       $4.95
Fabulous Florets #124110                    $3.95
Basic Pearls & Rhinestones #124330   $3.95
1/8" Taffeta Ribbon #122156               $4.95

Card Stock used Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.

Have fun creating in My Digital Studio, the possibilities are endless!!
